i have a 67 camaro with a 350 small block with a lunati cam with .457 lift and i have old mr.gasket headers and 2 1/2 pipes with flowmasters. These headers don't sound that good so i was looking into buying the hooker comp headers because i heard they sound the best. I was wondering if anyone knew the best sounding header at a good price as the comp headers. I just want a better sound.

I think in reality the headers have very little to do with how an engine sounds. I think most long tube headers will sound the same.

Mufflers have the biggest effect on how an engine sounds, X or H pipes will make the sound higher pitched, and bigger pipe size should make it louder and lower.

An engine's compression and cam selection will have a big effect too. Low compression and a large cam will sound sloppy, more compression and a big cam will sound crisp.

Just my opinion.
