Re: 67 Camaro 210 HP 2 Barrel Carb Parts

My 67 2 barrel did not have a bracket for this. The coil mounting bracket had a hole drilled in it that the spring went into. I always assumed it was the factory setup. Had the car since 1980.

Re: 67 Camaro 210 HP 2 Barrel Carb Parts

Hey Guys, I in boxed Al, his car has one. I have some pics he posted a while ago on another thread, check it out. Al is going to take some additional pics and post them. My mechanic's 327 2 barrel has the same bracket, he is the original owner. Tom, I tried Carb doctor and Mike's, no luck Thx.

Re: 67 Camaro 210 HP 2 Barrel Carb Parts

Pics of my original 67, 327/2bbl. The bracket in question blends in with the coil mtg. bracket making it appear as 1 unit.

Re: 67 Camaro 210 HP 2 Barrel Carb Parts

Interesting. You can see the little hole in the coil bracket right above the adjustment screw head. Thats where my spring has always been connected to. It did touch the manifold a bit using this hole. I never had the little bracket. Btw, whats with the funky looking pcv valve?

Re: 67 Camaro 210 HP 2 Barrel Carb Parts

Thx again Al for the pics... One think that I find very odd. There were 102,409, 327 2 barrels produced (LF7) in 1967. Why is it so hard to find parts for the 2 barrel setup. Everything being reproduced is for the 4 barrel 327's, 427's and 350's. Examples, divorced choke and cover, accelerator rod, SPRINGS, carb fittings, etc. When you call companies (Ricks, Classic, Heartbeat City, etc) they don't stock any of those items. Does anyone know where I can find the spring bracket pictured? Thx again Tom....
