Alternator Bracket

Im swapping out my OEM alternator brackets on a 1968 Camaro 327. Anyone have any thoughts on a higher performance bracket? I see quite a few out there but they are not always rated well. Its the driver side, high mounting. Thanks.

Re: Alternator Bracket

I am using an 1970s style cast Corvette alternator bracket on my 327.

Very solid set up, but I think you need accessory holes on cylinder heads (it mounts on driver side).

I do have aftermarket heads with the accessory holes (World S/R, 1.94/1.5, 67 cc).

Re: Alternator Bracket

81-82 Corvette is the best I've come across. You need accessory holes in the front of your head though.

Alan Grove Components has very good brackets.
