I'm looking to get a 68 convertible real soon. I cant afford a big block # matching car though. I have around 20K to spend. If I got a Matching 327 or 350 and swapped it with a 427 that I could get my hab=nds on instead of a 454 would that bring the value up more? I would also keep the Matching # for resale. Not sure if this would be the right forum.

Thanks

In my opinion youll have a tough time finding a matching numbers convertable car for 20k...BB or SB. Unless it needs work.

Thanks, Sorry about the double post. Wasn't really sure wear to post. As for the BB. I want to enjoy the car not baby it if you know what I mean. I was looking at if I spent the extra $ on the matching # BB then it blew that would really suck. If I went with a SB then put in a BB and it went It wouldn't be so bad. Id still retain the value of a numbers matching car and not have to worry. The bottom line is I want to be able to mod it and not loose the value. I HAVE been looking and I could get a SB number match in my range that would be 90% done. I wouldn't be able to touch a BB for even close to that. So would this way be a good route? I was looking at 454's, but Camaros never came with them thats why I was thinking of the 427.

Thanks all
