Hello, I have a problem. When my 68 camaro gets up to normal temp. she runs great until I shut it off and try to restart. I can't start it for a good 30 mins. I think the starter is getting hot. Summit makes a starter wrap and was wondering if this would solve my problem or maybe a modern smaller in size starter would be the answer. or maybe I'm in left field? Help thanks denis

Nope, you are roughly correct. If you can start the car by jumping the hot wire to the purple wire, you have high resistance in the starting circuit. There are various ways to fix the problem. The right way(fix the resistance), the easy way(Ford relay), the expensive way(mini-starter), etc. Choose your poison

The starter "blanket" does work very well. It is cheap and easy to install. For the price I would sure try that first.
