I have pulled the sub frame out with the front clip intack. I was thinking of installing the motor and trans on the sub frame before putting it back in. If I do that I will have to raise the car for more clearance. Can I hoist it from the rad. support?
Thanks!

I tore apart my front end awhile back. I took off the subframe and before putting it back on I put the engine and trans on it... then rolled the whole thing under the car.

I just had the front of the body supported by some jack stands under the rockers... it was kind of tight to squeeze under there and get the tailshaft in line with the tranny as I was trying to pull the subframe back into position... really, this shouldn't be a one-man job. That would have made it much easier.

I would not lift it by the rad. support. To much weight if everything is still in the car.

I'm going to go ahead and install the sub frame first.
Thanks!
