Well, I've tried them both, but not on the same car.
I put the EPS manifold in place of a ZZ4 one, and the improvement was impressive....more throttle response and seat-of-the pants bottom end. The carb was a 670 Holley Avenger that works very well with it. I recommend that setup highly.
The AVS carb I tried on a mild 350 with Performer intake, headers, etc...and IMO, it's seems like a lot of extra $$ compared to a regular Edelbrock carb.... just to have an adjustable secondary air valve.
