anyone use a performer EPS intake and a 650 cfm thunder series AVS carb before...are they good, reliable, powerful?? It would be nice if anyone has had them specifically on a 350 before, since that is what i have. They are supposed to deliver a little more torque are hp than the regular performer series...do they?? thanks guys

persoanlly, i'd save some $$$ and get a Performer RPM q-jet intake and slap a rebuilt junkyard 800 q-jet on it. with the money you save, you could almost get it professionally dyno tuned and probably mave more power than with the combo you listed. plus ir would look more stock if you painted the intake engine color- unless you don't want a "stock" look, of course. than that would be a bad thing.
but the stuff you listed is probably good, powerful, and reliable together- since i think they were engineered together as a package. doesn't Edelbrock list how much power and torque that combo makes?

you don't plan sincerity.
you have to make it up on the spot.

wanna hear about 20 years ago when i was too smart to know any better?

Well, I've tried them both, but not on the same car.

I put the EPS manifold in place of a ZZ4 one, and the improvement was impressive....more throttle response and seat-of-the pants bottom end. The carb was a 670 Holley Avenger that works very well with it. I recommend that setup highly.

The AVS carb I tried on a mild 350 with Performer intake, headers, etc...and IMO, it's seems like a lot of extra $$ compared to a regular Edelbrock carb.... just to have an adjustable secondary air valve.

Right out of the box......ran great...all it needed was a choke tweak.

The ZZ4 350 that I put the EPS on was a friend's car.

I was surprised at how good it worked.
