Has anyone installed a 9" rear end in a 69 camaro and what was the rear end from?

There are some that fit but you won't find one{58 to 60 ford}. Big gear head is the man to talk to it is his business.

I haven't actualy tried it, but i"ve been told that early Mustang and Fairlane rear ends will bolt in with little effort. I build 9" Fords that bolt in Camaros and use the stock Camaro brakes and spring mounts.

They do but the Mustang guys got all of them a long time ago.

I got a 9" with 3.25 gears and a posi from a friend that does '66 Fairlanes. I had the 28 spline axles and drums drilled for a Chevy bolt pattern by Moser. I cut off the old mounts and welded on new ones. The width is within 1/4" of the original 8.2".

69 mustang and it lined up perfect with the perches had to use ubolts to bolt it inover axle tubes

thanks guys. I think i know where a 67 or 68 fairlane is sitting but it will probly be like everything else, will set around and rot down. Owner probly wont sell.

Just be sure you are getting a 9".Most Fairlanes had the 8" rear.
