Question

Swapping out a Saginaw 4 speed for an M-20 in my 68 Camaro. I have both shifters...which one should I use?

I just completed the exact same swap that you are doing. I used the same hurst competiton plus shifter with a new install kit for the muncie. Now my shifter hits the console, so my advice to you is to check this stuff out thoroughly. I am looking for a handel that will work. It does not hit by much. Aside from my minor problem I like how the hurst shifter works.

The Hurst is a better shifter. The Muncie may be worth something to a restorer.

if i remember correctly, doesn't the muncie mount to the crossmember? I know mine did. this can cause somebinding of the linkage under accelleration. I installed a hurst shifter and love it
