I am having trouble picking the correct length pushrod to use with my engine. it is a 327 small journal, with trickflow 23 heads, 1.5 rockers, and hydro lifters. i can't find any info anywhere about how to correctly select length.

please help

thanks in advance

Cool

You probably need to pick up a Manley plastic P/R checker that is made for this..

Or, the shade-tree way by cutting an old P/R in two and adding a length of threaded bolt and a nut so that you can adjust it to fit your application. Then see if you need custom ones or what..

I made my own just like pdq did. I used the thicker 3/8" pushrods since they're not good for anything else, tapped them for fine thread after cutting one in half and ground a couple flats on each end near the cut so i could use a small wrench if I had to on them. Substituted a solid lifter while doing the measuring and it works great.
