Is $225 a good price for a rebuilt 600cfm carb with dual feed, electric choke, and vaccum secondary?

Seems a litle high when you can buy a new 600 CFM for around 250 from Jeg's or Summit. It won't have the dual feed, but it will be new.

If you look hard enough you can find one like that on E-bay for $50.

Find a freebee in someones stash of junk, or at a swap meet. Besides standard rebuild parts the only expense I've encountered on holleys is to have the main body milled. The surface of the main body where the metering block mounts has a tendancy to warp a bit. My local machinists charged me $18 a side to mill them flat. Total investment including a bucket of carb cleaner, a back-fire valve, stock jets, and kit was about $80.
