I've been told for an 80 maro u cafind out what trans it has by the shape of the opil pan, or vin # or something. I have a 1980 Camaro v6 with auto trans, i think it has a th-350 in it not sure tho. Can someone tell me how to find out?

The pan will tell you, but I can't give you a reference. Is it an overdrive unit? Somewhere in the archives is a web link to a site that shows various gaskets. I couldn't find it in the transmission forum though.
