What block is it?
Refer to your double post in 'Tag Team' and Jonesy answers you correctly that the "DC" code can be a 1969 Chevelle, Nova or Camaro 307 (w/PG or TD) OR a 1965 Chevelle 283 with manual.
You need to tell us what the block casting number is. It's on the back of the engine right behind the left (drivers) side cylinder head.
Hint: 3956632 will be the 307 used only in the 1969 model year.
If the number is different like 3849852 it could be the 283.

If a man says something in the garage - and his wife can't hear him - is he still wrong !!!
