Question

Recently got a set of zz4 aluminum heads and bought the GM head bolts 'cause it said they came with washers. The bolts arrived and no washers were with them. Did the zz4 come with washers under the head bolt? Are they needed? Any insight is appreciated

Bud, do you need them.....no. Aluminum is very soft though, so in the long run, after removing the heads a few times, you'll wish you had. The bolt heads will begin tearing into the aluminum.

Make sure the head bolts are long enough to accept adding the washers.
