I have a correct quadrajet on my 69'(for 396). It was rebuilt when I got it. Is there any adjustment for the opening of all four barrells? When I floor the accellerator the carb is not completely opening. I tried adjusting the accel rod and bumping up the idle. If I set the idle at 1000 RPM, the carb will open all the way. Anything lower and it seems like I need more travel in the pedal to completely open it.
I checked and there's no carpet bunching under the pedal to keep it from traveling to the floor.

I also tried changing the hole the rod goes into (on the carb linkage).
Thanks

Does any part of the linkage contact the engine or firewall in any way? If you shorten the rod, it should merely raise the gas pedal up, unless of course the bellcrank hits the back of the motor.
