I have a 1978 camaro z/28. I installed a new msd distributor, 6A ignition control and blaster 2 coil. I have had lots of trouble trying to get it started. If you have any insite into the matter please let me know.

What kind of trouble exactly?

If it cranks over slowly (and didn't before) you probably have too much advance. rotate the distributor housing counter clockwise a bit and try it again.

If it pops, spits, backfires, and won't run, the distributor os 180 degrees off.

If it cranks good but won't fire, somethings not wired up right, you got no spark.

Check the tin dust cover because if it touches even a little bit it will scream like turpentined cat.

Its not the dust cover, it could be a vacuum leak though.. there is somthing near the back of the tranny and i think it may need to be hooked up to the brake booster.. i think that the problem is the starter gear getting stuck out on the flexplate

That is just what I was talking about. I did the same thing and when it started and began screeching I thought she was gonna blow!
