I had the same situation as you with stock manifolds, stock hangers etc. I went with the stainless steel system they sell in Rick's with the transverse (sideways) muffler, dual exhaust like the factory designed. I put it in myself with no help and it fit perfect. There was no welding, just bought the proper clamps and hangers. It was a perfect bolt in. I think it has the perfect muscle car sound.
