I have a BBC in my '67 Camaro. The car sits very low to the ground. The front of the rocker panel is 7" above the ground. BBC naturally sit lower in the car then SBC engines. So much so that the bottom of the flywheel scatter shield (manual transmission) is around 4" above the ground. The engine is mounted using a front mounting plate and I am starting to wonder if I mounted the engine to low in the car.
Can someone measure the height above the ground of the damper pulley bolt and then the height at the front of the rocker panel? This way I can get a reference of engine mount relative to a fixed point on the car.
