I have a 396 with a Holley 750cfm Double-pumper carb. I need to replace it. What would you recommend for a performance/street carb?

Suppose that depends on what the motor is setup for and why your getting rid of the 750.
Prolly something in the 780 - 800 cfm range though if your going to regular carbs and not DP.

A 375hp/425hp/396 motor came stock with a Holley, 3310- type vacuum secondary, 750/780 cfm carb!

So imho, a good 750 Holley is fine!!
