I am running into a problem where the HEI fits into the 67 camaro, but once the cap is put into place the areas of the cap where the screws set it into place are hitting the firewall. Do they make an aftermarket cap that is smaller? Thanks

There was a post about this a few months ago. Some thing about loosening all the engine and tranny mounts and moving the engine forward. Do a search and see if you can find it.

On my wifes car I moved the distributor gear one tooth counter clockwise and retimed it. That kept the screw away from the firewall.
