Please let me know what my steps would be to correct this problem. I just took my '68 on the street for the first time since starting my restoration 1 year ago. I have not done anything to the rear suspension as of yet but work does need to be accomplished. Anyways both of my rear tires wooble side to side while driving. The drivers side a little more than the passenger. I lifted the car completely off the ground, removed the tires and drums to see if I saw anything. I believe there is a slight wooble on the axles shaft but not really sure. To little to amount to anything if there was but I am not a rear end specialist. I am going to take the rims to a tire dealer to make sure the problem is not the rims or tires. While on the vehicle though, I looked closely at the rim itself and it definitely moves in and out so don't believe the tire is the problem. My question here is what steps for PD should I take to see where the problem lies. 10 bolt stock rear end w/3.73 gears, drum brakes and 15 x 8 weld wheels. thanks.....
