Unhappy

its a 68 with a ZZ3 350 engine. it backfires and it kind of stutters when i give it some gas. i was thinking it could be the timing....maybe. or maybe somewhere in the ignition system. it seems like its running a little rich too...maybe it seems like that as a result from getting the spark at the wrong time....i really dont know.
im going to start digging into the carb soon too and see if i cant find some way to get my car on the road before monday because its the first day of school and i have to look cool . but seriously, i just want to be able to drive it some more.

if your plug wires are on right it might be a lean condition happening probably the accel pump is blocked ..open the throttle on the carb a couple of times to check to see if any fuel is being squirted into the intake....hope this helps ...
