Just finishing 383,taking out 327.My question is,by going to a 8in.bal will all pulleys lineup?If not,what do guy suggest.I would like to leave alt on driver side.

Pullys will still line up. There will just be a small amount of clearence between the fan pully and the crank pully.. Everything else will be the same unless you went with a long water pump.

If you have power steering, that bracket won't go back on with the 8"

no,I don't have power steering,just hoping the pulley lineup with the 8 in.bal.yhe 327 has a 6in.I guees I just need pullys for a 350.

If you do go with an 8 inch balancer try not to get the one that times at the 12 o'clock position. If you do use that one you can order a balancer cover that bolts on and has 0 at the common 2 o'clock position and degree marks for advancing. I got mine from Summit and they are reasonable in price.

Yes, if you have an 8" balancer on a 327 with the motor's original power steering brackets, well then it does not fit and you better get it off quick before you hurt something.

Your SS would have come with a 350, which came with an 8" balancer, AND different power steering brackets to clear it. The original 350 stuff is still there.
