Guys, I want to ditch my headers in favor of nice flowing exhaust manifolds. I was looking at some ram-horns, but a couple of guys were saying that the log type dumping out the rear of the engine would work better. However, no oe was sure what year manifolds to use. I am assuming something from a early 70 SB might work, but I wanted to put the question out before I spent the money. I am running a SB 350, 30 over, with 461 heads, Muncie M20, headers ( are long and hang low ), Edelbrock 1406 carb . Also, if any one wants to recommend a good source to purchase these, please add that info ... Thanks... sdtsdt

If they will fit, the 2.5" 'Vette ramshorn cast-iron exhaust manifolds are about as good as it gets.

I don't know if the newer, lower log type like say, '67 Camaro manifolds will fit on a tri-5 b/c Tri-5's came stock with upper log manifolds like the V-8 Monza's have.

You might try looking at Sandersons b/c they make cast-iron manifolds that are freer flowing then the stock type but they are pricey..

The 2 1/2 in ram horns should fit the 57s came with 2in. There really is no better iron stock manifold for a small block.

That's right, oger b/c my '57 had ramshorns but my '55 had the upper log type! I had forgot about that.

In fact, my '55 manifolds should be under my buddy's old barn that rotted down where I had my stuff stored... Probably no good now???

I did dig my '67's manifolds outta the crap years ago and have them.. They are fine, but sorta rusty as usual figuring their age....
