I was wondering if anybody out there used thermal tape around your fuel lines to help prevent vapor lock. If so, did it help at all?

Thanks!

Yeller,

I have used the fiber type tubing stuff that you slide over the fuel line, from J.C. Whitney, on an old 6 cyl. Mustang that used to vapor lock. It seemed to do the trick. Staying away from gas brands that have a lower boiling point also helps. There was a post here some time ago listing the various boiling temps. of different brands of gasoline. Surprisingly, there was a substantial difference between some brands. Phillips 66 stands out in my head as one with a low boiling point. I think pdq 67 may have posted it. Are ya out there Paul?? You could always clamp a few clothespins on the line. I've never tried it, but people swear it works!

Has anyone used one of those Flex-A-Lite fuel line coolers? Would that fit the bill?
They look like mini trans coolers. They're finned and have -6 AN fittings. I saw them in the import Summit catalog. (not mine! office mate owns a Neon)
