im installing my intake using fel pro 1211 printoseal gaskets (little blue ring around ports)

when i was wiping up some of the high tack that i used to hold the gasket to the head, it pulled a little of the blue ring off one of the ports

id like to put something on the ring to make up for the lost section, but what do i use?

ive heard that fuel eats rtv...

is there a fuel resistant rtv/silicone to use here?

or do i need to replace the gasket?

thanks guys!

I would replace the gasket. But if you want to use a fuel resistant silicone try Dow Corning 730. It is very expensive but is resistant to fuel.

I'm pretty sure that Hylomar is also fuel resistant.

Aviation form a gasket. Permetex makes it, comes in a can with a brush made on the lid.
Good stuff!(non hardening)fuel resistant, also works on brake fluid.
