For those who have built their own engines and know alot about cams, What size cam would be good for a 350ci 4-bolt small block engine to give it that " rumbling sound" we all know and love. Anyone have an idea?

What is the rest of the combo? Need to know compression, heads, converter stall, gear, intended use, etc to make any specific recommendation.

Generally speaking, 230*-240* duration @ .050 lift and a 106-110* LSA will get you into the "medium-rough idle" ballpark for a 350. The longer the duration and lower the LSA the more overlap the engine will have - the more overlap, the more rougher it idles.

I use the Crane 274H06. It has a nice lopey idle and great power in the low to mid range. Needs a mild stall, 9-1 compression.
