For those who have built their own engines and know alot about cams, What size cam would be good for a 350ci 4-bolt small block engine to give it that " rumbling sound" we all know and love. Anyone have an idea? [img]smile.gif[/img]

What is the rest of the combo? Need to know compression, heads, converter stall, gear, intended use, etc to make any specific recommendation.

Generally speaking, 230*-240* duration @ .050 lift and a 106-110* LSA will get you into the "medium-rough idle" ballpark for a 350. The longer the duration and lower the LSA the more overlap the engine will have - the more overlap, the more rougher it idles.

I use the Crane 274H06. It has a nice lopey idle and great power in the low to mid range. Needs a mild stall, 9-1 compression.
