For those of you who have installed the Dynomax 1.5/8 headers. Have you had any problems using the stock gaskets and hardware? I'm about to install them on my new motor w/canfield aluminum heads. I'd like to install them correctly while I have the motor on the stand to avoid leaks later on. Does anyone recommend upgrading to another gasket and/or bolt set? Has anyone had any problems with the dynomax gasket sealing?

tks.

If the dynomax's are the paper type, just upgrade to Fel Pro's or you'll probably be cussing at them in a few months. They last quite a long time. Just check to make sure the bolts are tight every now and then.

yes paper gaskets blow...literally. i'm using a set of earls pressure master gaskets, and they work excellent. after running the motor i checked the bolts for tightness, and none of them even needed retorqueing, must be due to their design. they look good and haven't leaked yet. otherwise i would reccomend any good brand of graphite based gaskets, they have worked for me in the past. good luck, hope that helps

looks like i'm going with the Fel-pro 1406's. I called canfield and they recommended them because of the d-shaped exhaust port. tks for the advise guys.
