Hi,

i pulled out my 77 350 v8 engine out of my camaro, its supposed to be a truck block.

there were all kinds of parts build on thatcame from other engines.

I completely stripped this engine and when i finally got out the temperature sensor, i found orange paint on it.

Could it be a sensor from a first gen block, since they used to be painted orange from factory?

Go to www.mortec.com.It's a neat site for decoding most Chevy engines by the numbers.

I believe 74 or 75 was the last of the Orange engines from Chevy. But a lot of newer engines have been painted Orange since then.
