Just my luck. Put the new cam, lifters, pushrods, roller rockers, and the new rpm air gap.
Go to put the valve covers on, just cheep chrome one, and they dont fit anymore. The lip on the side its the intake. Just my luck now i need new valve covers. Man

Just mark the spots on the valve covers that don't clear the intake and grind notches into the flange. As long as the notches aren't too long you should not have any warpage from overtightening. Be sure to use the good rubber gaskets, they seal much better than the cork.
