I would like to install the Mark VIII electric fan on my BeCool radiator. After reading past threads this seems to be the fan of choice for maximum cooling. Does anyone know where I can purchase one? Does any have any pictures of what it looks like and how you mounted it? Thanks all

Joe,

I got mine from http://www.houstonperformance.com/

It isn't on their website, but they definitely carry them. That's where all the Chevelle guys go.

I don't have a good install pic for you. It's 22" in diameter and definitely pulls more air than the dual-Spal setup Be Cool sells. I used Be Cools billet mounts for the dual Spal and had to do some trimming of the fan housing to have enough room for it to clear the big block. If you have a small block, the install would be easier. I think I paid about $160 for the fan. You also need a minimum of a 40 amp relay (standard 30 amp Bosch style will NOT work); I used a 75 amp relay to be sure.

Check this out: http://www.geocities.com/smithmonte/...rkVIII_Fan.htm

You can also pick one up from Ford ($163.53).

I would recommend a 60 amp relay. I have been using this fan for a couple of years now in the Off Road industry and started using them in most of my late projects, since about 96. I have not had problems since installing 60 amp relays, also the Ford circuit was 60 amps.
