hey guys, if you have a ping in your engine and you suspect the plugs could be the wrong heat range, would you try a hotter or colder plug?

You could also try some octane booster. I thing the quality of the gas is going down as the price goes up. The last tank full of gas I got in the suburban (40 gallons) has been making my truck clatter all week. Itís been so bad that Iím surprised I havenít lost some push rods.

Unhappy

I gotta a bad feeling that since we are starting into the Ozone Season, that alotta places are switching over to the summer gas formulation and so are sucking their tanks down lower to make the switch..

The Ozone season started the first of the month but I do figure most places started the switch early but you never know??

I really don't know how extensive an area the fuel formulation switch covers outside of Ozone Nonattainment Areas like St. Louis is in. But I do notice flucuations in our fuel 125 miles away from St. Louis, here in Columbia, MO!!

I can kinda tell when I am pumping a tank of "Paint-Thinner" stuff by the smell!!! Or a tank of gasohol that I am not paying more for, but rather just thought I was paying for regular unleaded....
