My old man is sticking a big block in his 69 camaro. He has nos 67 big block mounts, frame and rubber parts. Will these mounts work in a 69? Not sure because parts catalogs list 67-68 bbc mounts and 69bbc mounts seperate. If they are not interchangeable can someone explain the reason. I read in a previous post that the big block mounts set the engine 1" towards the passenger side and there is 3/8" offset at the transmission. Is there a difference between bb and sb crossmembers? Will a small block crossmember work with bb mounts? Finally, will the existing clutch linkage work with the big block. The car has a 350 and super T10 in it now. He is keeping the T10 in it. Any help would be great.

Go over to David Pozzi's great site that you get to through his sig. and read up on this as well as look the numbers over and it should tell you all you want to know..

As for the Z-Bar, a BB Z-Bar is 1/2" longer!!

They say the BB cross member has the tranny mount over about 3/4" or so. I don't know the EXACT number but do know I'm having a time getting my Muncie shifter's reverse shifter arm bolted back on, so I need to move the back of my tranny some but haven't gotten around to doing it yet.

I don't want to move my Muncie shifter b/c I have the stock console..

I'm using a three hole poly tranny mount and am just going to use one bolt to secure her down b/c the guy's say it works OK..

Hope this helps..
