OK, I've done all of the suggested reading. Absorbed a lot of new, and interesting information regarding the use of long rods in the large bore, short stroke 350 build up. I have a couple of new questions. According to one source the optimum R/S ratio is 1.75/1, which just happens to be the same as the original 327. Does exceding this theoretical optimum by going to say 1.92/1 change the original caracteristics of the engine? Such as the original 302 & 327 tend to be quick reving, high winding engines in comparison to the 350, or 400. Does anybody have any info on how the higher rod ratio effects this caracteristic of the engine?
