I thought there was a truck 305 built in the 80s (I think) that was 'heavy duty' which was a four bolt. When we rebuilt my fathers car we found the engine to be a four bolt and the previous owner had freshened it recently so we just did gaskets, etc. When we decoded the block, the numbers weren't in the same places as other blocks and we had a hard time finding it in a list. When we did, it said it was a 305!!!

I dunno....

Just to add, I found the casting numbers from Dad's motor in my desk: C61100 59K11 05 9X

If somebody checks it, what do ya get?

Cool robbm,

This falls into the "single hump" early SB heads that I didn't know existed until I saw a pair on a truck motor and asked what they were... pdq67
