This company is in LA.

You could also go to your local parts store and find out where they send their cores to.

jonesy,

thanks for the reply. i looked all over the internet and called most of the parts stores around my area with no luck. i found this site

http://shop.store.yahoo.com/zipprodu...uild-kits.html

it says its for vettes. i dont know how knowledgeble the call take was but i ordered the 58-70 small block rebuild kit. he didnt know much about the product but says it should work for my needs. i'll give an update on it and let every know if it pans out. so, if anyone is looking for a rebuild kit, that is the one i have found.

thanks,
angel

I saw that one also, just didnt know how much you wanted to do yourself. I would like to know how that rebuild kit works out for you, as I think I will do the same. There is a place in Minneapolis that rebuilds waterpumps. I asked the guys at the local parts counter the name of the place and gave them a call. They said they would rebuild it for about $50 if I recall right. That was a few years ago though.

Complete WP rebuild instructions are in the Chassis Overhaul Manual from GM.

A shop like a John Deere dealer has experience rebuilding tractor pumps, can probably do yours without damage to it.

I broke one by not supporting it properly when pressing out the impeller.

I have some instructions I can provide, if you need them.

david,

yeah, im gonna try the rebuild myself. but it sort of scares me now that you mentioned you broke yours. this is the original pump so i dont want to damage it but i would also like to try and comlete it myself. it has been sitting a while and the pmp is frozen. anyway, can you send over the instructions that you have? it might help me.

thanks,
angel
