I'am putting a 282s in my 383,and have heard there are 2 types,edge and piddle.which do I use,and what type does gm use?This is a street mostly car.

my son used to piddle, it's not a good thing lol

Piddle valve are common. Edge orifice are hard to find if you can find them at all. Use the piddle valve.

Edge orifice will reduce the oil to the rockers by 20-30%. This really only benefits you if you're going to run roller rockers and don't need as much oil to the valvetrain. The piddles will work fine.
