One area under the hood that continues to be a "black box" for me is the carb. I have a 4160 Holly and I think these just have a metering block and no jets. Is this right? Are these worth their weight in dog dung or are they acceptable for street performance? It sits on top of a 460 BBC with 450 -475 HP.

Depends which 4160 Holley it is - what's the list number stamped on the front of the choke air horn? Yes, 4160's have jets - in the front metering block; it's the secondaries that don't have jets - they use a metering plate that screws to the main body and can't be seen with the rear fuel bowl in place.

I would have to get the numbers when I was home. It is a 750, manual choke, dual feed side hung float bowls. Holley part # I believe is 3310S. And yes, I can spell "Holley". Thanks
