hello i have come across this camshaft through a GM dealer in Canada, but i was just wondering if this is the correct camshaft for a 302 DZ as i am rebuilding one and want to have the correct one. thanks

Part #12364052 Camshaft Kit, Mechanical
Blueprinted replacement for factory P/N 3849346 with 290 hp and 302 cu. in. 228 camshaft, auto with 4000 converter.

Technical Notes: Basic rpm range is 4000 - 6800; and compression ratio is 11.0 - 12.5. The duration at .050 lift (intake/exhaust) is 254/254 degrees, and the valve lift is .485"/.485". Lobe centerline is 114. This camshaft kit is designed and manufactured by Crane Cam Co.®. It contains one camshaft and 16 tappets.

1. –097, little Duntov solid, (287/287 per GM and 272/272 per Pat K.)/228/231, 110.5/108, .395”gross lift/.383” net,/.401” gross lift/.383” net lift.

2. –178, 330/350 solid, 116/110, 242/254, .459” gross lift/.439net,.485” gross lift/.455” net lift.

3. –346 big Duntov or 30-30 solid, (346 per GM, 314 per WBR and 304 per Pat K.)/254/254, 114/112, .486” gross lift/.456” net lift, .486”gross lift/.456” net lift.

4. –140, Z-28 Off Road solid, 257/269, 112/108, .493” gross lift/.469” net lift, .512” gross lift/.486” net lift.

5. –151, 350/327 hydraulic, 222/222, 114/110, .447”/.447” lift.

6. –962, 350/350 hydraulic, 115/114, .450”/.460” lift.

The one you have is correct for the DZ; it's the Crane blueprint version of the original "30-30" cam, made for GM Performance Parts (Crane makes all the GMPP cams). [img]graemlins/thumbsup.gif[/img]

ok perfect, we have the motor in the basement complete just needs to be assembled, but i wanted to make sure that this is a close as possible to the original camshaft, so i was just double checking.
