whats the best way to clean the outside of a holley 780 without talking it apart it works fine just looks like crap?

Aye, you said it, I didn't.........Just get a spray can of carb cleaner and fire away, make sure and cover up your intake, unless of course it needs a little clean up too!!!!!

Carb cleaner and a brass-bristle or plastic-bristle brush. As Shrek said, if it's on the intake still, wrap rags around the intake to keep all the crap off of it... otherwise you're gonna end up with puddles of black mud all over it and have to clean it as well.

Oh, and DON'T clean it on the wifes kitchen table either! That's worse than getting your intake dirty!

I hope the spray-on carb. cleaner is better now then it was b/c I hit my 3310-2 one time holding it in my hand AND the crap never even got my hand dirty!!

The darn stuff just hasn't cleaned the same since the EPA made them take the Methylene Chloride out of it!! Same goes for paint strippers too.....
