I put vintage ac in my 69 and the belt wobbles around when the engines running! It's a long way from the top of the compressor pully to the crank and I was wondering if anyone else has this problem. I can tighten the belt, but it still moves....like I said it's just a long way for the belt to be unsupported.

Anyone heard of some sort of idler pulley that could be mounted between the compressor and the crank for the ac belt?

Some older Corvette's and Vans had Idlers or guides to prevent belt wander & tossing, so did Corvairs.
Of course the 'Blue Oval' group used lots of them over the years - I've resorted to them if I had to.
Also check with Granger and McMaster - they have them for several applications that will work.

If a man says something in the garage - and his wife can't hear him - is he still wrong !!!
