Have ordered now to my 327cid 210hp:
cam,clear white 270/280 420/430,
lifters,camlube.
Edelbrock 600cfm
Headman headers,2,5"ex.
RPM 7101 intake.
HEI distrobutor.
Everything brand new..

anyone think this will work on a ,before this a good stock engine,??
And estimated hp gain.?

I will hazard a guess and say up to about 240 to 250 hp.. Maybe even 260??

It's your low CR. that is holding you back but at least you aren't over-camming her so she should run quite well, imho..pdq67

when you start building up the old LF7 engine, the heads become a holdup in the quest for performance. They have extremely small intake runners (sub 140cc) and have puny little valves. They can be worked to flow substantially better than they do stock, and a 1.84'' intake valve from a 305 head can be inserted in place of the 1.72'' without much trouble, but all in all you'll be cash ahead to upgrade to a different head if you aren't stuck on originiality.

I'll also say around 260-270 horses tops.

1968 Camaro
