I normally only post for my '68 camaro, but I have an issue with my 99 camaro I just can't figure out. Its a 3.8 litre v6. The problem is when I'm cruising along say at 40 mph the car wll periodically act like its missing for a few seconds. It feels like a hesitation then its fine. It does not backfire or anything like that, you just feel it in the motor. Its not the tranny slipping neither. It has been doing this for a few days now and is very infrequent. Otherwise the car runs normal. I thought maybe my fuel filter was clogged and replaced that, but it did not do the trick. Any ideas?

If it is a Mass Aif Flow engine, look for vacuum leaks. In particular, the rubber ducting between the MAF and throttle body are good places for leaks to develop. If it is a speed density or Manifold Absolute Pressure system, check the Throttle Position Sensor and associated connectors / wiring.
