This may sound ridiculous but could the rear 4 corner port of my air gap be used for smaller diameter heater hose? ? Just trying to figure out some options. Or a Thermostat housing with a port from a later model? Large is out of the top of the wtr pump. I don't want to go across to drivers side necessarily. With the new AG rpm manifold, the fitting is right where my dualfeed line is and unless I run my 1" carb spacer it won't fly. Of course using the spacer will require shorter air filter element, etc. etc. PITA. Any Ideas? SS

been looking at the same thing.
if you were to "t" the outlet of the heater core,would the cooler water returning from the heater route help to even out overall cooling?

I am actually trying to make the heater work, The 45* fitting I had coming out of the intake is now obstructed by the dual feed line. By the look of things both ports on the water pump are same source ie. meaning that they would be water coming from the radiator in a loop. Not to mention alt bracket is in the way on the side of the pump outlet. SO I was using one from the pump the other from the intake. I just need another source on the intake, thats why I was thinking the back 4 corner ports etc. SS

406, TKO 600 and 12 bolt posi.

Rail,
I think you could cause a problem with uneven cooling of the cylinder heads by doing so. If you took water off the back corner of the intake, it would keep it from getting to that cylinder head for cooling. Stick with the factory setup.
