Question

Does a BB oil dipstick tube pass right in front of the block drain hole so that you can't put an old-fashioned brass petcock on the pass. side??

Do I have to put a square heded pipe plug there instead of a brass petcock??

And the new drivers side brass petcock "T" hit my new poly mount so I did use a brass pipe plug there!! Is this right???

Do I bend the tube???

Sucker's finally coming together slowly....

Dont bend the tube, the dipstick will be very hard to remove.
I actually just go to GM and buy the stock drain plugs, which a 9/16 socket will fit. Avoid using the square head brass plugs or the allen plugs that come in a frost plug set, as they can be a nightmare to remove once they have been in awhile.
Other options are to get some 90 degree fittings and install them first, then use your petcocks.
Hope this helps.

I had the same experience in my dually w/454. I used brass 45* elbows in both locations and oriented them to where the T-handle was away from everything to drain.

Otherwise, as rszmjt suggested, use the hex head plugs, don't tighten them as the gorillas do at the factory........
