I am not sure if mine is a drop base or not I'll check tonite.
it does fit under a cowl hood though
on a 454 proper mount and a RPM airgap intake.

Rick's 1st Gen. has a stock repro of a open element 14" base. ($48 - # EP-102) States fitment '67-'69. I have the 625 Road Demon. This base fits nice and low, has a very short neck, correct breather tube, that actually clears the linkage on my Demon and should yours. Check a good Chevy swap meet, a vendor will always bring one along or better yet, if you are lucky enough to have a nearby Camaro/Chevelle/Nova/El Camino restore vendor to dry fit and see for yourself. Good luck, not sure if this answered your question or not. Dan
