Question

I am building a 436ci SBC stroker and I am currently installing a set of speed pro rings part # R-19101 45 on a set of Ross racing pistons part # 99477 (4.165 bore / 4.00 stroke / 6.00 inch rods). The speed pro oil ring has two support rails upper and lower, which is standard. The Ross pistons came with a set of oil ring support rails that have an anti-rotation bump. Do these Ross oil ring support rails replace the lower speed pro oil ring support rail or is it in addition to the speed pro oil ring support rail?

Thanks for all replies.

Rascal,
They are in addition to the normal rings. They are there to support the ring in the space over the pin. Put the "bumps" down and in the pin area.
