Hello all,
Does anyone run the Edlebrock performer rpm (1500-6500 rpm) combos : heads, cam, and intake ? They claim with a 454 big block 540 hp and 539 tq with 9.5 comp. Sounds real tempting, any comments?
thanks
Kelvin

I run that setup on my 355SB. Don't have much road experience with it though. I hot lapped it around the neighborhood a couple of times after I bought it and then tore it all apart. The motor is strong. About 10" (maybe 11") of vacuum. I wouldn't want any more radical cam for the street and have debated about swapping it for something with a little less overlap. The heads are good. I've read advice that the intake is pretty good, but the Performer is a better intake for some cams. You might find that info in the archives.

I used their set-up with the exception of a XE284H Comp Cam in a motor I sold. It was a 468 with 9.3 to i compression and it dyno'ed at 511 HP and if I remember correctly 530 lbs. It had Wiseco forged flattops.

Toby
Why did you sell the motor?
