Question

Are axles from 8.2s's and 8.5's interchangeable?? Same number of splines, wheel bearing surface diameter etc.? Thanks.

I hadn't thought about it so I measured them they take the same wheel bearings and have the same number of splines. The only difference I can see is the dia. of the splines on the 8.5 is about .020 bigger whether this is within production spec. I don't know

Thanks guys. Guess I have a spare set of axles in case I blow the ones out of the posi. I hope to get out to mid-America this season. They aren't thinking about closing it down are they Mark?? I heard rumors about it last year.

Sorry I missed your question. I also heard those rumors, they were going to sell the land but the deal fell through. I know they're open this year.
