Question

Thanx Guys, I have learned alot reading this site, I have a mild .30 over 327, unknown cam that is way to big, air gap intake,600 demon, hookers. I am going to change piston, cam and heads, I have read all the 327 threads, but am not sure how large an intake runner(cc) head I should use. The car is a very weekend driver, i have other stuff to go fast. Will an 180cc head work best with a small motor?

I would think that you could still go up to a 200, but prolly not more.

I know you can run a bigger runnered head but the little motor runs darn good with a stock 160 and 170 up to a 180, imho...

Thanx, guys for the response. What are good street flow numbers for heads these days? low 200's for a small motor. A buddy of mine has a set of mid 70's heads (305) i think that are redone, with 2.02/1.60 valves,170cc,64cc, that flow around 200cfm. How will these work on the little motor? thanx again.

If you look at my post under 'cnc canfields' you can see very good flow #'s from a 180 cc Pro Topline set of heads.
